Internal Investigations

Beck Law represents executives in internal investigations throughout the country, including in proceedings initiated by attorneys general and various federal agencies. Many of the investigations resulted in contested proceedings in which the firm’s clients prevailed. Many others resulted in decisions by government agencies not to bring criminal, civil, or enforcement actions following the firm’s advocacy. The firm also represents professors and students in connection with investigations conducted by educational institutions.

Civil Litigation

Beck Law represents clients in the defense and prosecution of civil matters involving RICO, fraud, theft, contract, and defamation claims. The firm’s attorneys have also successfully represented entities which are the subject of civil actions brought by governmental entities relating to alleged violations of health care, securities, and tax regulations, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Mark was lead counsel for the Russian Ministry of Finance in a RICO action and related international proceedings in which he secured a judgment for $165 million following the theft of diamonds and gold. Mark and his colleagues led the successful defense of China’s largest oil and gas company in a suit seeking over $5 billion in damages.
